Since Embach is located at the beginning of the valley of Rauris you won‘t have to travel very far to get to the heart of this natural beauty. Here are our recommendations:Kolm Saigurn: Drive until you reach the parking area Lenzanger. From there you can start your hike leading you through rather flat terrain along the forest on to Kolm Saigurn. A different route will take you through the Rauriser Urwald, a primeval forest with 300 year old spruces and over 800 ponds, until you reach Durchgangsalm and can make your way down to Kolm Saigurn. www.raurisertal.at/
At the Sonnblickbasis, a chalet run by the „Friends of Nature“, there is a children’s playground with a petting zoo and you will enjoy the local delicacies.
Krumeltal: The walking-tour to the Krumeltal/valley of Krumel starts at Lechnerhäusl and takes around 1,5 hours. In 1986 this very area was selected to resettle the bearded vulture in the Alps. With a little luck you may as well get to see some of these majestic creatures. www.raurisertal.at/
Seidlwinkltal: Food at its best in the Seidlwinkel valley. The three certified alpine chalets Palfneralm, Gollehenalm and Litzlhof offer homemade culinary delights. Go fishing, for at Landgasthaus Weixen, a country inn situated at the valley entrance, the chef will prepare your catch of the day. www.raurisertal.at/
